OpenStrategy
OpenStrategy is a Canterbury-based company that has developed an online method of capturing complex information and using input from stakeholders and the public to sort the information into the form of a strategy. Developed over the last five years, the Open-Strategy methodology has been extensively used in the UK for a range of public projects, is now being used in New Zealand with the UK experience to draw upon.

Network PR
Network PR is a New Zealand company specialising in strategy development and consultation. Network is responsible for assisting the Steering Group mount stakeholder and public consultation

ECan Secretariat
A secretariat of personnel from ECan are assisting the programme from a technical point of view. This involves assistance with scientific information and studies such as those undertaken at Stages 1 to 3, additional studies (as required), water management policy and project planning.

Stakeholders
A wide variety of stakeholders have been involved with the programme right back to Stage 1 of the water study. Stakeholders involved in the programme will be recorded on a database as they become involved.
A large number of interested people from across the Canterbury region have been involved to date on development of the Canterbury Water Management Strategy programme. This will continue in 2009.
